Lexi Hebda
Lexi Hebda, the owner of Lexi’s Music Studio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with Instrumental Emphasis in French Horn from the University of Florida, and a Masters Degree in Performing Arts Management from the University of Oregon. Lexi has performed with the 2011 Disneyland All American College band, The Florida Rock Orchestra, The Eugene Ballet, Kings Academy, The Maltz Theater, Symphony of the Americas, Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach Symphony, Nu Deco Ensemble, Brevard Symphony, Punta Gorda Symphony, Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, Master Chorale of South Florida, Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach Atlantic University, First Presbyterian Church in North Palm Beach, St Patricks Catholic Church in Palm Beach Gardens, and more. She was in The United States Navy Fleet Bands for four years from 2011-2015, performing 250 concerts with the Naval Forces Europe Band in the Woodwind Quintet, Brass Quintet, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and Ceremonial Band. She has worked for several non-profits including Palm Beach Symphony, The Eugene Symphony, The Vermont Arts Festival, Singing Creek Educational Center, and CHEC (Community Home Education Center). Lexi has been teaching private lessons for 23 years.
Trevina Samaan
Trevina Samaan is a music teacher and music therapist who has been with the studio for 3 years. She has been playing violin for over 20 years and holds a Masters of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. She is passionate about helping people of varying abilities make strides toward therapeutic and educational goals using music. She has been teaching private violin, guitar and piano lessons to children and adults for about 12 years and has worked with children and adolescents with special needs, older adults, and adults with developmental delays. She is a wife and mother of two energetic children. When she is not working, she can be found trying to keep up with her toddlers, binge-reading, or attending orchestral concerts.
Zailyn Martinez
Zailyn (Ms. Zai to her students) is a professional singer who graduated from Wellington High School fine arts program, where she performed in the Carnegie Hall Honors Choir, FMEA Presidents Conference, and Candlelight Disney. She has been with the studio for over a year, and she currently attends Palm Beach State University. She teaches Voice, Ukulele, and Piano. Zailyn is bilingual (English and Spanish) and enjoys teaching others to confidently tell stories with their artistry. Zailyn served as assistant Music Director and played the lead role of Patty in “School of Rock,” and was the Music director of Mean Girls jr. and played the role of Mrs. Norbury. Other stage credits include Matilda, Singing in the Rain, Once on this Island, Chicago, Newsies, Willy Wonka Jr. and more. She instructed children’s music classes at Rhythm & Hues, sings in a Mariachi Band (MariachiSonDeMexico), and writes and releases original songs.
Ransom Miller
Ransom Miller is a sought after performing artist and educator in South Florida. He is currently the Professor of Trumpet at Palm Beach State College and the House Trumpet Player at the Maltz Jupiter Theater. His performance credits include multiple appearances with the Dallas Opera, Orchid City Brass, Suman Entertainment Group, William Clare Entertainment, and Elan Artists. He is a skilled multi-instrumentalist whose services as Trumpeter, Pianist, Vocalist, Guitarist, Bassist, and Drummer have reached audiences in over 40 Countries. In his academic career at The University of North Texas he performed in the Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Brass Band (as Principal Cornetist and Concertmaster), and in the One O’Clock Lab Band. At The Benjamin School he helped Fine Arts students with a wide variety of interests take the next steps on their journeys as young artists, while promoting an atmosphere of teamwork and respect. As Assistant Director of Bands at Bak Middle School of the Arts he achieved straight Superior ratings at MPA while Directing the Advanced Jazz Band. He has also used his gifts to the benefit of his community, uplifting many at-risk youth as the Musical Instrument Instructor at the Milagro Center of Delray Beach. He also served as the Expressive Arts Coordinator at the Drug Abuse Foundation of Palm Beach County, a role which afforded him the opportunity to use a variety of artistic mediums to aid in the recovery journey of many who suffer from addiction. His spirit of service began at a young age. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and then at age 18 enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After his tour of duty he joined the Air National Guard, and in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, deployed to the Middle East where he performed at diplomatic events and troop welfare concerts, aiding in the effort to maintain peace and stability in that region. Although his commitment to music and arts is great, he always finds time to spend with his wife of 12 years, Michelle, and his three young children, Sonatina, Dorian, and Oscar.
Alexa Cornwell
Alexa Cornwell graduated from West Boca High School, where she sang in the Bella Voce Choir—an elite program that brought her work with college professors from across the U.S. and a performance at Carnegie Hall. She is currently a student at Liberty University Online. Alexa teaches junior high and high school ukulele at CHEC Academy and serves as the 5th-grade after-school counselor at A.D. Henderson University School. A longtime student of Ms. Lexi, she has taken private ukulele lessons for many years and has taught beginner ukulele and voice for three years. Her students adore her.
Lily Alami
Lily Alami has been our beginning voice and piano teacher for over two years. She’s studied music for 12 years, and is excited to share her passion for music with young musicians. Lily attended Bak Middle School of the Arts for Voice, and is currently attending Dreyfoos School of the Arts for Vocal. During her time at Bak, she competed and won World Strides in Los Angeles, California and sang with the Palm Beach Opera. She’s studied piano with Ms. Lexi for several years, and attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, and sings with Adriana Zavala’s AZ singers traveling group. Lily’s passion is musical theater, and she recently starred in “Grease” and “Footloose” at The Delray Playhouse.
Sophia Gary
Sophia Gary is a junior piano major at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. She has loved playing piano since she was 7 years old, and she is so excited to be able to share her passion for music. She has played in masterclasses with highly acclaimed pianists such as Wu Qian and Juho Pohjonen, as well as performed at the FMEA piano conference in Tampa. In her free time, Sophia loves to play guitar and bake. She hopes to teach kids important musical skills while also keeping the atmosphere fun and encouraging.
